Admission to Ayurvedacharya (BAMS) and Kamil-e-Tibb-o-Jarahat (BUMS) 5½ years Course 2013-14 UNIVERSITY OF DELHI

Applications are invited for Admission to Ayurvedacharya (BAMS) and Kamil-e-Tibb-o-Jarahat (BUMS) 5½ years Course 2013-14 at A&U Tibbia College, New
Delhi. The Bulletin of Information may be obtained from the office of the Deputy Registrar, Faculty of Ayurvedic & Unani Medicines, 6th floor, V.P. Chest
Institute Building, University of Delhi, Delhi-110 007, only against a Bank Draft / Banker’s Cheque drawn on any Nationalised Bank in favour of Registrar,
University of Delhi payable at Delhi in the following manner:-
(i) By Hand for 750/- ( Seven Hundred & Fifty only) for General/OBC Categories & 550/- ( Five Hundred & Fifty only) for SC/ST Categories between
10:00 A.M. to 05:00 P.M. on all seven days from 17th October, 2013 to 26th October, 2013.
(ii) Fee is exempted for persons with Disability (PwD).
Note:- SC/ST/PH Candidates are requested to bring/ send a copy of the Caste Certificate/ PH Certificate for obtaining Bulletin of Information.
Money in cash will not be accepted in any case for supply for Bulletin of Information.
1. ELIGIBILTY CONDITONS:
(A) Age: He/She must have attained or will attaine the age of Seventeen (17) years as on 31st October 2013.
(B) FOR 85% DELHI QUOTA SEATS: AYURVEDACHARYA (BAMS): The candidates seeking admission to BAMS Course must have passed
Intermediate/Senior School Certificate Examination (C.B.S.E.)/Indian School Certificate Examination (12 years course) with Science (Physics, Chemistry &
Biology) and English or any other equivalent qualification recognized by the University with 50% or more marks in the aggregate of three subjects i.e. Physics,
Chemistry, Biology and has also passed English from the recognised school conducting regular classes (except Patrachar Vidhyalaya & Open School) situated
within the NCT of Delhi only. While deciding the merit the marks obtained in English will not be taken into consideration.
Note:(i) The OBC candidates in order to become eligible for admission to BAMS course must obtain 45% marks in qualifying examination i.e. class XIIth
examination.
(ii) The SCT/ST candidates in order to become eligible for admission to BAMS course must obtain 40% marks in qualifying examination i.e. class XIIth
examination.
(iii) The candidates belonging to General-PH category must have secured a minimum of 45% marks, PH-SC/PH-ST categories must have obtained a minimum
40% marks and PH-OBC categories must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in qualifying examination i.e. class XIIth examination.
(iv) Provided that the student has passed in all the subjects separately required for purpose of admission to BAMS Course.
(v) The candidate who has passed Sanskrit as a subject at the qualifying examination will be exempted from taking Sanskrit in 1st Prof. BAMS Course.
(vi) For admission to the above courses he/she should has passed Hindi as one of the subjects at qualifying examination or High School/ Matriculation/ Secondary
examination or equivalent.
KAMIL-E-TIBB-O-JARAHAT (BUMS): The candidates seeking admission to BUMS Course must have passed Intermediate/Senior School Certificate
Examination (C.B.S.E.) (12 year course)/Indian School Certificate Examination (12 years course) or any other equivalent recognised examination thereto with 50%
or more marks in the aggregate of three subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and has also passed one language except S.U.P.W. from the recognised school
conducting regular classes (except Patrachar Vidhyalaya & Open School) situated within the NCT of Delhi only. While deciding the merit the marks obtained in
the English or language will not be taken into consideration.

(v) All the admitted candidates in BUMS Course are required to submit a certificate that he/she has passed 8th Class Examination with Hindi. If he/she fails to
submit the same certificate, he/she will not be awarded the degree of BUMS course until he/she submits the certificate to this effect.
(vi) For admission to above course he/she must has passed Urdu and English as a subject either at the qualifying examination or High School/
Matriculation/Secondary Examination or equivalent.
(C) FOR 15% ALL INDIA QUATA: AYURVEDACHARYA (BAMS) & KAMIL-E-TIBB-O-JARAHAT (BUMS):
The candidates must have passed the prescribed qualifying examination from a recognised Indian University/Boards conducting regular classes from a recognised
School (except Patrachar & Open School) Ref: Clause 1 (A) & (B).
Application Form may also be downloaded from websites www.du.ac.in and www.fmsc.ac.in and submit the same, duly filled in and complete in all respects with
requisite Demand Draft, to the office of the Deputy Registrar, Faculty of Ayurvedic & Unani Medicine, 6th Floor, V.P. Chest Institute Building, University of
Delhi, Delhi- 110007 on or before 26th October, 2013.
The Application Form can also be obtained, by hand against Demand Draft from the office of the Principal, A&U Tibbia College, Karol Bagh, New Dlehi.
The last date for submission of Application Form is 26.10.2013.
